Incredible Indian Homes - HOMESTAYS
Traditionally Bed and Breakfast establishments have existed all over the world for travellers who have needed a bed to sleep and a good morning meal before continuing their journey. The sarai or the dharmshala concept is not new to India. The recent growth of the tourism sector had set a few challenges to the government regarding the Quality and Quantity of available room inventory in the metropolitan Delhi and NCR. As a result and a quick fix solution the government launched the Bed and Breakfast scheme to the residents of Delhi and NCR (which has now been extended to the other states as well) wherein house owners with even one extra room in the house hold could apply to run their houses as bed and breakfast establishments by conforming to some basic standards as stipulated by the government.
