EVENTS AND FESTIVALS
Khajuraho Dance Festival – 01 to 08 February’10
Khajuraho Festival, a weeklong dance festival, is organized every year in the month of February or March. Khajurao Dance Festival celebrates the cultural heritage of the temples of the region. The venue of the festival is the Vishwanatha temple and open-air auditorium in front of the Chitragupta temple. Both the temples are beautifully lit and stand glittering with the colorful lights.

The spectacular background of the exquisite sculptures of Khajuraho provides further magnificence to the already graceful movements of the dancers. Various dance forms like Kathakali, Odissi, Manipuri, Bharathanatyam, Kathak, and Kuchipudi are performed during the Dance Festival of Khajuraho. Some of the most renowned personalities participate in this classical dance festival. Other attractions of the Khajuraho Festival include an open market, where exquisite crafts and local articles are on display.
