TURKISH AIRLINES TO START DAILY OPERATION FROM DELHI AND MUMBAI FROM 02ND FEB 09
Turkish Airlines started their daily operations from both the existing destinations in India – Delhi and Mumbai, 02nd Feb 09 . The airline has been flying four-days-a-week from Delhi and three-days-a-week from Mumbai so far. The airline has also replaced its earlier fleet A-310 with A-330 adding more capacity per flight from India. While the former had 210-seat capacity, the latter will offer 250 seats with independent entertainment screens. Apart from revamping the in-flight services, the airline also guarantees its passengers ‘a restaurant above the clouds’ with offerings of tastier Indian dishes on board these flights. Istanbul offers best connectivity to almost 93 destinations around the world for passengers from Delhi and Mumbai .
MDLR AIRLINES TO ADD 12 DESTINATIONS TO ITS NETWORK THIS YEAR
The Delhi-based MDLR Airlines is planning to expand its network in the regional market. The low-fare airline plans to add 12 destinations among Tier-II and Tier-III cities in Northern India to its network this year. According to a report in Daily News and Analysis (DNA) by Archana Shukla, the airline is going to lease three more Avro Regional Jets (BAe 146 aircraft) to service the expanded network. New destinations will include cities such as Amritsar, Leh, Varanasi, Jamshedpur, Raipur, Mangalore and others. Koustav M Dhar, Chief Executive Officer, MDLR Airlines said, “MDLR will be flying to 20 destinations. These are route that are not been used by other airlines and if they do, the timings are not as convenient.”
