Recent Developments
In order to cater to cruise vessels visiting Mumbai, the government plans to invest INR 152 crore (or USD38.3 million33) for constructing a cruise terminal near the Gateway of India. The terminal will involve a berth for the vessels to anchor and will also provide security clearances, custom and immigration facilities. The government plans to undertake this project through the PPP mode.
