Some other sites worth a visit include the Meena Bazaar (which sold ware to the royalty in the past) and the China Pole (with beautifully painted interiors by a Chinese traveler in India).

THE ROOPANGARH FORT - This was constructed by King Roop Singh of Kishangarh in 1648 for defence purposed. Originally a fort with nine turrets, new additions were continuously made from time to time. Different styles of architecture are distinctly visible in the fort. Kishangarh and Roopangarh are both not more than 100 kms from Jaipur

Apart from having horizons that stretch to infinity, the Sambhar Lake is also a bird-watcher’s paradise. The lake is home to around 140 species of birds, including land birds.
