Aihole - Situated some 129 km off Bijapur, Aihole was an important city during the Chalukyan times. There are numerous richly carved Hindu temples belonging to the 6th and 7th centuries, including the Meguti Temple, Lad Khan Temple, and the Durga Temple. A small museum of the archaeological department showcases artifacts from Aihole, mostly of the Chalukyan era.





Asavana Bagevadi - Asavana Bagevadi Renowned as the birthplace of Saint Basaveshwara, Asavana Bagevadi is a celebrated pilgrimage. Situated at 43 km fromBijapur, it is famous for its temples.
